Head, deputy head of Indonesia’s new capital city authority resign, minister says

Previous Asian Development Bank official Mr. Bambang Susantono, who was in charge of the new capital venture, was unavailable for comment right away.

Additionally, Mr. Dhony Rahajoe, an Indonesian designer and original real estate developer who served as deputy head of state, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The two experts ‘ resignations come amid a lack of private financing for the ambitious new capital being constructed in a remote and untamed area of Kalimantan, on the Indonesian side of Borneo area.

The state has been working diligently to construct the equipment needed for the transfer of the first shipment of 12, 000 civil servants in September. But the program has recently been half delayed, raising doubts about the government’s signature project.

After serving the peak of two terms in office, Mr. Widodo will step down from office in October.
