SINGAPORE: On Sunday, October 8, Singapore’s Housing Board ( HDB ) announced the completion of all five projects that had been postponed due to financial issues at the hands of their former contractors and nbsp, Greatearth Construction.
After Marsiling Grove in March, Sky Vista @ Bukit Batok in November 2022, & nbsp, Senja Heights in February 2021, and Senjo Ridges in January 2023, the West Coast ParkView Build-to-Order ( BTO ) project was completed last month.
When development work stopped in August 2021 and Greatearth was liquidated, a full of 3, 000 cottages across these tasks were impacted. According to HDB on Sunday, the difficulties ranged from two to twelve months from their anticipated completion dates.
The COVID-19 epidemic, which particularly affected the construction industry, had now caused the tasks to run behind schedule.
Tan Meng Dui, the Chairman of the organization, claimed that nearly 75 % of BTO initiatives that had been postponed due to the pandemic have now been finished. Desmond Lee, the curate of national development, stated in a Facebook post that HDB plans to finish the remaining tasks by the beginning of 2025.
Fresh companies were brought in to get over the tasks impacted by Greatearth’s debt about a fortnight after work on them ceased, and building resumed in October 2021.
