Gun control laws to be reviewed, says Anutin

Anutin Charnvirakul, the deputy prime minister and internal minister, stated on Thursday that all current gun control laws will be reviewed and amended as necessary to ensure public health and that only authorized persons may be allowed to carry firearms in public.

Mr. Anutin’s arrived in response to the killing that occurred on Tuesday at the Siam Paragon shopping center in the Pathum Wan neighborhood of Bangkok, where a 14-year-old child killed two people and injured five people.

The interior minister claimed that he met with the director-general of the Department of Provincial Administration( DPA ) on Thursday to learn more about the current laws governing the possession of firearms by people and various types of weapons, including blank guns, BB guns and toys that could be harmful after modification.

He claimed that it is against his scheme to grant permits for the general public to have or have firearms. He continued by saying that even government officials may be permitted to carry firearms in public.

Mr. Anutin claimed that he had given the DPA general instructions to investigate all pertinent laws and, if necessary, produce changes in accordance with the prime minister’s legislation and nbsp, which sought to limit the use of firearms.

People shouldn’t been permitted to carry firearms at their own discretion going forward, he said. ” There shouldn’t be any instances of people going out to sit disputes with a gun.”

The deputy prime minister stated that minors shouldn’t be allowed to practice shooting and that all killing varies must be strictly controlled.
