Graft charges against BN leaders politically motivated, says UMNO’s Zahid Hamidi

KUALA LUMPUR: United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claimed on Mon (Aug 29) of the fact that corruption charges towards Barisan Nasional (BN) politicians after the fourteenth general election ended up politically motivated.

He said this in the Elevated Court during re-examination by his law firm in the trial pertaining to 47 charges involving criminal breach in trust, money washing and bribery relating to more than RM52. two million (US$11. 6 million).  

According to Malaysian news flash, Ahmad Zahid informed the court that your complaint to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was quickly lodged against him right after BN failed to purchase sufficient seats to create government after the 14th general election in May 2018.
