Nearly two hundred Thai citizens are being held hostage by Hamas, and the state is in contact with Iran and other governments that can get in touch with them, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara.

According to Mr. Parnpree, Iran, which is near to Hamas, has pledged to assist with conversations.

When Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, more than 240 people were taken prisoner, including at least 23 Thai immigrants.

According to Prime Minister and Finance Minister Srettha Thavisin, the state is preparing a large departure of Thais in Israel as the Israel-Gaza war is anticipated to intensify.

We now know that robots will also be used and that computer war will be fought. We are worried that the war may spread to Israel’s neighbors as a result, Mr. Srettha said.
