The People’s Movement for a Just Society ( P – Move ) has proposed nine policies to combat poverty, and the government has committed to establishing the central committee to address them.

Thirteen members from P-MOVE, which has been holding protests outside Government House, were met by Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Capt Thammanat Prompow before the agreement was reached.

Those who participated in the rally that began on Tuesday demand that the group not face any legal repercussions or force as a result of its behavior.

Additionally, they are pleading with the government to accept a nine-item request that the party suggested in February.

The complaint calls for the management of local resources, particularly for those who reside on property owned by the State Railway of Thailand, as well as for basic human happiness and cure on an equal basis.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is aware of the issues the team is dealing with, according to Mr. Phumtham, who claimed that previous administrations had addressed some of these concerns. The two officials are to handle the request from the group, per the premier’s order.

According to Mr. Phumtham, Captain Thammanat will see to it that a committee is formed to coordinate with the organization and the state. In the upcoming two weeks, a board is anticipated to get operational.

We need to explain the working course of the government with the group because some demands involve the function of several ministries and are anticipated to take some time to resolve ,” Mr. Phumtham continued.

Additionally, he suggested that the protesters relocate their protest from Ratchadamnoen Road to a designated location, but expressed concern that they might disregard the advice.

However, P-Move’s secretary-general Theeranet Chaisuwan reported that initial discussions with the authorities were productive.

Next week, the agriculture minister may present a report to the cupboard.
