SINGAPORE: The 16-year-old girl whom joined a week-long group assault on a teenage boy with low IQ has been sentenced to one or more year of reformative training on Wednesday (Jul 26).
Reformative teaching is a harsher consequence than probation that will detains younger offenders in a structured atmosphere with an emphasis on rehabilitation.
The 19-year-old victim was documented missing by their social worker and younger sister, and finally found in a critical situation in a hotel room on Tyrwhitt Road.
The girl, called A2 in court documents, cannot be named as the lady was a minor when she committed the offences and guarded under the Children and Young Persons Action.
She performed the assault together with Muhammad Shahfakhry Mohamad Faizal, 21, Putri Nuramira Aishah Rosli, 19, and one more 16-year-old girl.
She pleaded responsible to one charge each of voluntarily causing hurt, mischief and taking methamphetamine.
The victim was their studies at APSN Delta Senior School for learners with mild intellectual disability prior to the incident.
He had recognized A1 since 2018, and met Shahfakhry through her within 2021.
ASSAULTED VICTIM, URINATED IN THE DRINK
The court heard that will on Jan fifteen, A1, Shahfakhry plus Putri met in the hotel room to take drugs. The victim joined them after inquiring A1 where she was.
Through Jan 17, the victim started keeping over at the hotel room. That day, Shahfakhry started slapping, punching and kicking the victim.
A2 also became aggrieved with the victim that day. She told Shahfakhry that the target wanted to have sex along with her without her consent.
Shahfakhry punched and kicked the victim after this, and A1 furthermore slapped and kicked his head several times. The other 16-year-old woman recorded a video of these acts.
Through Jan 17 to Jan 25, the victim was abused with various tools and methods simply by A1 and her three co-accused. A few of the incidents were recorded, and A1 has been present for most of these.
On Jan 19, A1 also had the idea in order to urinate into a bottle of iced orange tea and give this to the victim, plus did this.
When Shahfakhry requested A1 what was in the bottle, she stated that it contained the girl urine. Shahfakhry after that asked the sufferer to drink it, and the victim complied.
This constituted the charge of mischief against A1.
After the group saw that the victim was in a bad condition on Jan 25, these people stopped hitting your pet and bought medication and bandages to tend to his wounds.
That same day, the victim’s social worker and younger sister made police reports saying that the victim hadn’t returned home right after leaving about two weeks ago.
The particular victim’s sister furthermore told police that on Jan 23, she saw a social media post having a photo of someone badly injured, whom the lady recognised as the girl brother.
The authorities eventually traced the victim to the resort and found him in a room with A1, Shahfakhry plus Putri. All three were arrested after that, and the other 16-year-old girl was also arrested later.
After methamphetamine was found in urine samples after her arrest, A2 also admitted in order to taking the drug.
VICTIM HAD MIND INJURY, CHEMICAL PLUS CIGARETTE BURNS
When police discovered the victim, he or she was assessed to be in critical condition plus taken to hospital.
He was discovered to have amnesia possibly due to traumatic brain injury, and considerable pooling of bloodstream at his scalp.
He had chemical burns to their scalp, face and back and a small amount of air in his upper body, which was likely from traumatic perforation.

The particular punishment for voluntarily causing hurt can be jail for up to three years, fined up to S$5, 000 or each.
The offence of mischief is certainly punishable with up to two years’ prison, a fine or each.
Those who consider methamphetamine can be jailed for one to 10 years and fined up to S$20, 000.
