KUALA LUMPUR: A family member of Goh Siew Kim has claimed that she is still alive despite a police statement stating that the 61-year-old was one of the victims of the tragic accident.
In a text message to the media on Thursday (Feb 9), the family member said Goh is still alive.

“She’s confirmed injured. I would like to inform the public that there is a mistake in the name list,” she said.
It is learnt that a family member had contacted the Chinese newspapers to clarify the matter following the release of the police statement on Wednesday (Feb 8).

In a statement on Thursday, Bentong police confirmed the matter.
“The IC belonging to Goh Siew Kim was held by a deceased victim by the name of Wong Ah Mooi, aged 83. The police received confirmation after family members confirmed the issue at the hospital earlier today. Goh is still being treated at the Kuala Lumpur hospital,” it said in a text message.
Goh was listed as among seven people who died after a tour van crashed near Genting Highlands.
The others identified in the list were driver Wong Choun Chiet, 49; co-driver Chang Them Kong, 70; and passengers Foong Ah Lan, 68; Lee Moy, 67; Ang Meng Hong, 62; and Seow Mee Tin, 72.
