SINGAPORE: Lam Pin Min, the leader of the Workers ‘ Party ( WP ) team in the previous election, resigned as leader of the Sengkang GRC after the defeat.

” I cherish the friends and bonds we built over the course of 14 years of working up, even though I was no longer your MP,” said Dr. Lam.  ,
Dr. Lam, a former Senior Minister of State, is the only person from the PAP’s GE2020 Sengkang team, speaking at the ruling party’s Jalan Kayu rally on Sunday ( Apr 27 ) at Fern Green Primary School.
The other four members of the PAP’s Sengkang GRC staff are all social novices: Associate Professor Elmie Nekmat, Associate Professor Bernadette Giam, and Ms Theodora Lai.
He claimed that his home supported him when he ran again and that he would face the possibility of falling behind.  ,
It will be a challenging task, Dr. Lam said, describing himself as the “underdog” in the battle for the opposition-held clinic. It won’t get simple. I may have lost the election in 2020, but I never lost my resolve to battle for you.
Dr. Lam, an physician who served in Sengkang West SMC from 2011 to 2020 and who was elected to the seat in 2006, acknowledged respect for the ballot of Sengkang citizens and resumed his private life following his electoral defeat.
He will face a WP team that includes incumbent He Ting Ru, Louis Chua, Jamus Lim, and Abdul Muhaimin Abdul Malik, who has been running for president since 2015.
