Singapore Democratic Party ( SDP ) candidate slogan for the General Election was unveiled on Saturday ( Apr 19 ).
The party called for the Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) to be reduced from 9 % to” 7 per cent or even 5 %” and for its replacement for the bare necessities.
Additionally, the group demanded that lower medical costs been made so that folks can “focus on living a healthy lifestyle without the constant stress of medical bills.”
We want you to prosper, not only survive, according to SDP, not just to assist Singaporeans in their day-to-day problems.
SDP has stated that it will begin a “northern plan” for the future General Election.
In recent weeks, it has revealed its potential in the SMCs of Sembawang and Marsiling-Yew Tee Group Representations ( GRCs ), as well as Sembawang West and Bukit Panjang Single Member Constituencies ( SMCs ).
Dr. Chee may run for president in Sembawang West, while Paul Tambyah, the party’s chair, will once again contest in Bukit Panjang.
The National Solidarity Party ( NSP) is also planning to run in Sembawang GRC, which is likely to have a three-cornered fight in. Spencer Ng, NSP secretary-general, described his group as the “incumbent criticism” in Sembawang.
In the past two votes, NSP and SDP both contested in the Sembawang GRC, and both did so in 2006 and 2011.  ,
