GE2025: PAP to launch more programmes, scale up existing ones at West Coast-Jurong West GRC, says Desmond Lee

On Sunday ( Apr 27 ), Singapore’s Minister for National Development Desmond Lee stated that the West Coast-Jurong West GRC’s People’s Action Party ( PAP ) team is committed to expanding and expanding existing ones for residents.

He said,” We may not always have the answers, but we are always on track and charting our new course.”

Mr. Lee claimed that the PAP has improved Singapore by developing options that are “grounded in the present” without taking their futures away.

He declared,” We will never stop doing that.”

PAP and the Progress Singapore Party ( PSP) does play a championship in both West Coast-Jurong West GRC and Pioneer SMC.

The two functions engaged in discussion about the topic of policy disputes and plans for the district ahead of the march on Sunday.

The PSP stone for West Coast-Jurong West GRC was asked to question policies with their Doc counterparts after their nomination was confirmed on Wednesday, saying that “voters decide who has better suggestions.”

West Coast GRC won the 2020 General Election with 51.18 % of the vote, while PSP won two Non-Constituency MP (NCMP ) seats as the losing team with the best-performing record.

With an expanded voter of 158, 581 citizens, pieces of Jurong West and Taman Jurong from the standard PAP enclave Jurong GRC merged with West Coast to form the present West Coast-Jurong West GRC.

Mr. Tay, who is also the National Trades Union Congress ‘ associate secretary-general, will be vying for his chair against Stephanie Tan, PSP’s fresh face, at Pioneer SMC.

Pioneer SMC is one of nine political districts that have not changed in the most recent analysis of Singapore’s political map. As of 2025, the clinic has 25, 166 listed citizens.
