GE2025: PAP incumbents face Red Dot United in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC

On May 3 when polling day is May 3, voters in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC will choose between the People’s Action Party ( PAP ) and Red Dot United ( RDU). &nbsp,

Vivian Balakrishnan, the minister for foreign affairs, is in charge of PAP’s stone, while Fazli Talip, the team’s financial consultant, leads the RDU team. &nbsp,

The PAP’s staff has remained constant since the general election of 2020, including MP Edward Chia, Deputy Speaker Christopher de Souza, and Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development Sim Ann.

Mr. Fazli and three newcomers to RDU’s roster are engineering expert Sharad Kumar, music teacher Emily Woo, and operations manager Nizar Subair. Mr. Fazli previously served as a member of the National Solidarity Party ( NSP) and also ran for East Coast GRC in 2011 under the Workers ‘ Party’s banner.

With 66.36 % of the vote, the PAP team won the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC election in 2020 despite the opposition’s Singapore Democratic Party ( SDP ).

Dr. Balakrishnan thanked the residents of the constituency for the “privilege” of serving them for “many years” in his balcony statement following the confirmation of his team’s nomination.

We’ve done our best to improve our cities and supported your people during difficult times and great days. We’ve kept our foliage safe. However, there is still a lot more to get done.

One of the RDU’s newcomers, Mr. Sharad, requested that voters grant the crew a mandate to assist them in parliament.

RDU SWITCHEROO
