After Nomination Day proceedings ended on Wednesday ( April 23 ), the National Solidarity Party ( NSP) released its manifesto, which included more than 50 proposals, including one for the removal of the goods and services tax ( GST ) on essentials and mandatory National Service for eligible new male citizens.
The 14-page statement, titled” Your Future, Our Priority,” even recommended phasing out “elitist” educational streaming techniques, removing the mayor’s office, and setting election-time restrictions.  ,
NSP stated in its statement that it would work as” the government’s “fearless assessor” for policies and investing and that it is “attached to being Singapore’s “independent morality in Parliament.”
This includes making sure “public cash” is spent “wisely, pretty, and with long-term impact,” the party said, and passing legislation that would apply to both the current vote and a generation.  ,
Coverage reforms were laid out in its manifesto in 10 categories, including those relating to housing, political renewal, care, family support, education, and cost-of-living.
Sembawang and Tampines GRCs may be up for election, both of which will get up for fiercely contested. The group is upwards against PAP and SDP in Sembawang. NSP, PAP, WP, and PPP will square off in a four-way battle in the Tampa GRC.
NSP likewise lost to the PAP in a 2020 contest between the same two divisions. Finally, it received 32.71 percent of the vote in Sembawang and 33.59 percent of the ballot in Tampines.
Some of the important legislation recommendations made in its statement include:
NURTURING THE NEXT GENERATION
Youth and children are two important demographics that the group is focusing on in its statement.
One of its suggestions is to create a” NextGen Singapore” junior leadership fellowship to assist young Singaporeans in developing plans and effectively challenging the status quo.  ,
Additionally, the organization is pushing for the inclusion of children representation in federal advisory councils.  ,
It is calling for reforms on the training front, including expanding financial help and “nutrition assistance” at preschool and major levels to ensure that every household you purchase it.  ,
Heath, HOUSING, AND FAMILY SUPPORT
Under the” CareNear” initiative, the organization proposes a S$ 10 cap on visits to general practitioners at community centers for all Singaporeans.
The group has suggested introducing a” HomeFirst” model in the housing sector, where people can buy their first houses with “lifetime value assurance.” In accordance with this, Build-to-Order ( BTO ) flats ‘ prices are determined by their construction and acquisition costs rather than their market value.
NSP also called for the protection of “resale cost stabilisers,” which impose liberal property tax on proprietors with many property holdings, to stop BTO-to-private profit-flipping cycles.
NSP also demanded six months of shared parental leave, an increased child benefit, and flexible work rights starting with the first child. It did not go into more detail about the child bonus’s proposed classical or the particulars of the flexible work arrangements.
A law was passed last November to raise paternity leave and shared familial left.  ,
Starting on April 1 this season, a new shared parental leave program will be implemented in two stages.  ,
Six weeks of shared leave will be granted to qualified working parents of children born on April 1 this year under the first phase. This shared left will be increased to 10 weeks for available working families whose children are born on April 1st, 2019 for the second phase.  ,
New parents will start receiving four months of government-paid paternity leave starting in April, which has doubled the number of paternity leave entitlements.
Requirements ARE ZERO TOTAL, AND THE NEXT REMAINDER FOR NEW MALE People
NSP’s other pressing reforms include establishing” Township Fair Price Committees” to monitor and regulate the prices of necessary goods and services in “high-cost lands” and removing the GST on non-essential items and baby products. It did not go into more detail about how it would define what exactly constitutes a “high-cost land.”
The party also supports the introduction of a” Public Transport Rebate ” to increase distance-based fare deals for elders, students, and low-income users.
It stated that the goal is to make free transportation available for elders, the physically challenged, and babies up to the age of 16.
Additionally, the party recommended that all first-generation male citizens who are “above 16 years old and under 40 years old” provide a minimum of six months of compulsory National Service.
NSP advocated for the creation of a” Freedom of Information Act” to promote a social system that is responsible and translucent.
Additionally, it has pushed for the establishment of a” regular elections system” that would allow for “more political and fairer” elections.
Beyond these recommendations, the manifesto emphasized changes in weather and conservation, including creating” Nature Justice Zones” to defend urban trees and waterways from advancement, unless citizens are asked to do so.
