In what appears to be a hotly contested Tampines Group Representation Constituency ( GRC ), the National Solidarity Party ( NSP) announced on Sunday ( Mar 16 ) that it would field a mix of former and new faces in the upcoming general election.
On the day of the party’s primary haywire since the EBRC released its detailed election barrier changes on March 11, he was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the group’s press conference.  ,
Mr. Fong announced that he and NSP vice-president Mohd Ridzwan Mohammad would contest in the district, and that three brand-new heads may join them.
He added that the party is “giving ( these new candidates ) some time to warm up” and that they will be introduced” when the time is right.”
In the 2020 General Election, Mr. Fong and Mr. Ridzwan contested the NSP in Tampines, Georgia. The People’s Action Party ( PAP ) won the constituency with 66.41 percent of the vote, giving the party 33.59 percent of the vote.
Around 20 NSP group members and individuals walked the Darul Ghufran Mosque and Our Tampines Hub on Sunday evening.
Numerous NSP coalition partners, including members of the Singapore People’s Party ( SPP ), Red Dot United ( RDU), and the Singapore United Party ( SUP), also showed up to support and distribute coalition materials.
Does NOT Rate IF” IF NECESSARY” GOING INTO FOUR-CORNERD FIGHTER.
In the future vote, Tampines GRC is likely to face fierce competition.
Goh Meng Seng, the group’s secretary-general, made an early state to the hospital in February by announcing his party’s goal to run for the seat in the 2025 General Election.
Regarding the possibility of being involved in a three- or four-cornered fight, Mr. Fong stated:” NSP has always said we would only contest in ( previously ) areas.”
So we do not hold back on starting a four-cornered combat if needed. In the end, we’ll have nowhere to go because in every other poll, if any group said they want to challenge ( the district and we don’t ).  ,
There will come a point when there are three to four-cornered conflicts.
Mr. Fong responded,” He does say what he wants,” when asked to comment on Mr. Goh’s earlier notes. People are able to tell whether or not you take him seriously from his opinions from the previous election. We don’t have any negative things to say about him.
He says,” It’s a free country, and he’s free to challenge in any area he wants, but I don’t see him contesting in the same place or district twice. He appears to enjoy moving around.
INTENTIONS TO USE GE2025 TO ESTATE 5 GRCs AND 2 SMCS
NSP secretary-general Spencer Ng stated in a group press release following the release of the EBRC statement that the party was “deeply frustrated and perplexed” by Singapore’s ongoing gerrymandering.
He further stated that NSP may continue to “plug forward through the hurdles,” and that it would support the group’s plans to challenge in seven different divisions, including the new Tampines Changkat Single Member Constituency ( SMC).
For Changkat, it’s been a stronghold of PAP for all these years, Mr. Fong said when asked what he thought of the new SMC being carved out of the latest Tampines GRC. Because of this, they are very confident that the piece will be a single ( member constituency ) piece.
It is a very challenging clinic. We must acknowledge that the local community are very sturdy and have been there for thirty to forty times.
However, Mr. Fong claimed that there is still a” good chance” that the party will enter the SMC, even though it would be “willing to give way to better candidates.”
Mr. Fong remarked that, as usual, nothing is honest regarding the new electoral boundaries that the EBRC report lays out.
In each election, some residents are categorized as a unique GRC. Would it be beneficial for those who reside in this region to move from one neighborhood to another every five times?
He added that the group will continue to work with the other opposition functions to steer clear of three- or four-cornered battles where possible.
