GE2025: Not easy to be young parents but govt is there to help, says PM Wong in first Sengkang visit since leadership handover

Singapore’s young parents face numerous financial difficulties, but the government is doing much more, according to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Sunday ( 16 ).

He claimed that this includes measures like more Community Development Council ( CDC ) vouchers, SG60 vouchers, and LifeSG credits that were previously announced in the most recent budget.

” I am aware that it’s not easy to be a young parent in Singapore, and I am aware that it’s not simple to include children.” You have a lot to worry about, but we want to make the journey as simple, straightforward, and stress-free as possible, according to Mr. Wong.

He addressed the Sengkang West Sports and Family Fiesta as part of his line of district sessions, which first took place in June of last year.

He was present at the ceremony on the first weekend after the government’s new political boundaries were announced on March 11 in Sengkang GRC, which is held in the opposition-held hospital.

He thanked residents for their warm welcome and hospitality, saying,” This is my first time visiting Sengkang as prime minister, and thank you very much for your warm welcome and hospitality.”

HELPING YAYA Families

Mr. Wong promised to support young families in their efforts.

We will do everything we can to assist you along the way, he said, regardless of whether it’s school, cost pressures, training, or accommodation.

Mr. Wong noted that the world is going through significant changes as Singapore enters the second stage of its creation in his notes.

He said the information everyday makes this clear, noting that the world is becoming more dangerous.

No one is going to come to our recovery if something goes wrong, he said,” all the things we see around us just remind us of one easy point.”

” We can only rely on ourselves, Singaporeans, to ensure that this tiny dark dot continues to survive and prosper as we fight for our country.”

Over 200 people from Sengkang West attended Sunday’s event. It aimed to unite residents to enhance community relations and foster community interaction.
