Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim congratulated his Singapore counterpart Lawrence Wong on his victory on Sunday ( May 4 ) and praised the “enduring ties” between the two nations.  ,
In a Facebook post, Mr. Anwar expresses his “warmest congratulations” to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong for leading the People’s Action Party ( PAP ) to victory in the general election in Singapore.
The Workers ‘ Party ( WP ) faced opposition challenges and won 87 out of 97 seats, or almost 90 % of the seats, without giving up any ground to its rivals. The PAP won a stunning victory and was able to win back control of the government.  ,
The head of Malaysia also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Wong and his team for” continuing success as you carry out theresponsibilities of authority in this fresh term.”
Mr. Anwar remarked that Malaysia and Singapore’s “prosperity and stability” are unrelated.
He stated,” We are bound by not only landscape, but also by enduring relations of kith and kin. Our two nations are cultivating a strong collaboration at all levels as we look to the future, which is a necessary precondition as we face significant obstacles to global order and trade.
He added that both nations have the opportunity to “make the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone a shining case” of what neighboring nations is accomplish,” with faith and shared goal.”
In the years to come, he said,” We look forward to approving this particular marriage.”
