
Low Yen Ling, a current Chua Chu Kang GRC MP, was announced as a candidate for the newly established Bukit Gombak SMC by the People’s Action Party ( PAP ) on Monday ( Apr 14 ).
Ms. Low serves as the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community, and Youth. She serves as the South West District’s president.
The group also presented its stone for Chua Chu Kang GRC at the PAP tree office in Block 10 Teck Whye Avenue.
According to Ms. Low,” I am committed to looking after the requirements, the happiness, the dreams, and the passions of our Bali Gombak residents.”
She continued, noting that she has developed a close relationship with the people and watched many of them develop over time.  ,
Ms. Low has spent more than 14 years in the Bukit Gombak hospital, having first been elected president in the 2011 General Election as a member of the Chua Chu Kang GRC group.  ,
She contested the GRC in GE2020 alongside Don Wee and Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, as well as Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and other Members. With 58.64 percent of the vote cast, the PAP team won over Progress Singapore Party.
With 26, 364 registered voters, Ms. Low will be in Bukit Gombak SMC, which includes Bukit Gombak and Hillview lands, while Mr. Gan and Mr. Zhulkarnian may be in Chua Chu Kang GRC.
Mr. Gan and Mr. Zhulkarnian will be joined on the Chua Chu Kang stone by PAP visitors Jeffrey Siow, a previous senior civil servant, and Dr. Choo Pei Ling, an associate professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology. Don Wee, the current MP, will never run for office.  ,
