Hougang SMC, the longest opposition-held ward in Singapore, does not belong to the Workers ‘ Party ( WP), but to the people, according to Mr. Marshall Lim, the People’s Action Party’s ( PAP ) candidate for the ward on Wednesday ( Apr 30 ).
No matter what they say or how many movies they produce about it, Hougang does not relate to the Workers ‘ Party when you go to the polls on Saturday.
During his first rally talk at Anderson Serangoon Junior College, Mr. Lim, 38, said,” Hougang belongs to you.
He made a more general point in his speech, arguing that politics does not prioritize community over the welfare of individuals and that politics has recently begun to put the value on humanity.
