
Singaporeans will be able to watch eight political parties deliver their campaign messages for the 2025 General Election on free-to-air television and radio during two-party political broadcasts, with time being allocated for this by the Infocomm Media Development Authority ( IMDA ).
The candidates may send promotion messages in either English, Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil, one of the four official languages.
The first broadcast will start on Friday ( April 25 ), and the second will start on May 1.
The channels may be distributed across thirteen Mediacorp, SPH, and But Drama! television stations, and across six Netflix broadcast channels. Television stations for pleasure.
Just political parties that are broadcasting at least six individuals under a recognized group sign are permitted to participate in the channels.  ,
Those who nominate fewer than six individuals under the same recognized group mark are not entitled, according to IMDA on Thursday.
The Singapore Democratic Alliance, Singapore United Party, and Singapore People’s Party will no longer be able to transmit their information due to this.
The available parties have been given a four- to fourteen-minute subscription window.
According to IMDA, the length of the subscription for each political party was determined based on the number of applicants it is fielding in the vote.
For the channels, the National Solidarity Party, People’s Power Party, and Singapore Democratic Party will each have four days of subscribers in each speech.
Five hours each are given to Red Dot United, Progress Singapore Party, and Women’s Alliance for Reform.
The Women’s Action Party may have 14 days, while the Workers ‘ Party will have six.
