SINGAPORE: Coming up with a policy idea is “very simple,” but the difficulty lies in how these policies are put into practice, according to Minister of State for Health and Digital Development and Information Rahayu Mahzam on Thursday ( Apr 17 ).
When she was questioned on Wednesday about the Workers ‘ Party’s ( WP ) claims, she responded. The People’s Action Party ( PAP ) government claimed in a Facebook post that 15 of its policy proposals from the last term of parliament had been “in some form” adopted by the opposition party.
It’s pretty difficult to say that it comes from any one resource frequently. All contributes to this in fact, according to Ms. Rahayu.
That is how we want to proceed. We can’t just rely on the government only.
Ms. Rahayu claimed that the ruling party has generally understood that everyone’s efforts and opinions need to be weighed when developing plans.
Through REACH, also through our own PAP politicians, we have vigorously consulted a lot of people in the community, she said.
REACH is the president’s commitment and opinions division.
She appeared in the media on Thursday following the release of the party’s vote declaration, one of the possible prospects for the May 3 elections.
Changed world, new staff, and new resolve are the words in the organization’s statement for this year, which read” Securing a brighter future for you.”
It is the ruling group’s strategy to navigate a world that isundergoing significant changes and becoming more ambiguous, according to PAP secretary-general Lawrence Wong.
The WP also unveiled its declaration, which calls for the introduction of a minimum wage, a wealth tax, and other measures shortly after the PAP’s blueprint was released on Thursday.

Because the PAP state is an equitable one that consults frequently when developing policy proposals, Dr. Faisal Abdul Aziz, a fresh candidate who is on the PAP’s slate in the WP-held Aljunied GRC, said there are bound to get iterations of the ideas mentioned earlier.
