In the redrawn West Coast-Jurong West GRC, the Progress Singapore Party ( PSP) will once again face off against the People’s Action Party ( PAP ), sparking a prominent rematch from the 2020 General Election.
On Wednesday ( Apr 23 ), candidates from both parties successfully submitted their nomination papers to Nan Hua High School.
Tan Cheng Bock, secretary-general Leong Mun Wai, and second vice-chairperson Hazel Poa, all members of the team that almost overran the PAP in 2020, will all be returning to the battle. Sani Ismail and Sumarleki Amjah, both of whom are visitors, join them.
They will compete against Minister for National Development Desmond Lee’s PAP staff. Previous West Coast MP Ang Wei Neng, past Jurong GRC MP Shawn Huang, and two new candidates, attorney Cassandra Lee and orthopaedic doctor Hamid Razak, are also on the stone.
As PAP followers waved group flags and cheered the group at Nan Hua High School, Mr. Lee thanked you for giving us the opportunity to assist you for the past five years.  ,
We are here to provide you and get your assistance over the next five years. We will also look after your house and continue to serve you after five years.
Next, the five PSP users took to the stage and spoke in English, Mandarin, Tamil, and Malay in their own unique ways.  ,
Dr. Tan opened the remarks to loud cheers from supporters dressed in red,” We are up and ready to offer you,” he said.  ,
Ms. Poa addressed the audience in Mandarin by introducing a” fresh conversation” between the PSP’s rivals.  ,
” We are appreciative of the strong help,” said Mr. Leong, noting that the staff is not deterred by the change in the political boundaries.
We have a strong statement with a number of initiatives to improve Singaporeans ‘ life.
