PETALING JAYA: PAS is disappointed over the “hasty” dissolution of the Parliament, says Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang (pic).
“PAS is disappointed that Parliament has to be dissolved in such a ‘hasty’ manner just four years and five months following the 14th Parliament,” said the party president in a statement on Monday (Oct10).
However, Abdul Hadi said PAS is optimistic that the efforts to unite the ummah will not fail due to an agenda, which is not in the best interests of the public and the country.
“On that note, PAS is calling on the people to fulfil their responsibility as a voter in this important GE15,” he said.
His statement came after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s announcement on Monday that the King had given his consent to dissolve Parliament.
The dissolution of Parliament paves the way for the 15th General Election (GE15) to be held within 60 days.
