Furniture business Lim’s Holland Village closing early 2025: ‘No sob story, just a powerful decision’

“IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE BUSINESS”

A rational decision, of course, does n’t make it any easier. Given that the company has been a significant portion of her family, Audrey has yet to fully understand the coming loss.

” We talk company in the car, and we talk business at the board.” And when we’re at function, we talk about it again … We go on vacation and we think,’ Hey, if it works around, it may work at home.’ It’s like a large part, the damage is not just about the company, but the method my family interacts”, she said. &nbsp,

Many of the customers ‘ teenagers now visit with their young children because Audrey herself spent her youth behind the teller wrapping them. ” So many people have the same experience I did, simply running around the store”, she recalled.

” People have a lot more fun here than just searching,” the statement goes. It’s the thoughts … It’s very personal. I’m not certain I’ll completely get over it, to be honest”.

However, she makes it clear that many people do not necessarily agree that the changing demographic of Holland Village, from the personal demographic to the tenant mix, is a positive one.

” Often when things change, you may feel the energy of regeneration in that area, and it’s not a terrible thing. It’s really uncertain for then, and I think we’ll deal with that”, she said.

” A lot of who we are is because of this practice, like what we’re good at, where we’re going from here. So I would n’t say there’s any sob story here. It’s really a very strong decision”.
