Full moon party postponed, now on Thursday

Sola THANI- This month’s whole moon group on Koh Phangan has been moved from Wednesday evening until Thursday to prevent a conflict with Makha Bucha Day, a significant Buddhist holy day.

Business owners at Rin Beach in Ban Tai agreed to the shift from February 12 to February 13.

Tuesday, city key Suriya Bunphan announced a law prohibiting the sale of alcohol on the island on Makha Bucha Day, which is observed on Makha Bucha Day.

Authorities have warned shop owners not to buy any kind of alcohol from midnight on Tuesday through evening on Wednesday, according to Pol Lt Gen Suraphong Thanomjit, the captain of Provincial Police Region 8. The only change is the duty-free store at the international airport.

Offenders may be answerable to a jail term of up to 6 weeks and/or 10, 000 ringgit good, Pol Lt Gen &nbsp, Suraphong said.

Due to Visakha Bucha Day, the whole sky celebration on May 11 will also be delayed by one day until May 12.

In July, the full moon group on July 10 wars with Asanha Bucha Day, &nbsp, followed by Khao Pansa ( the start of Buddhist Lent ) on July 11. It will now be July 12th.

According to Ork Phansa ( the end of Buddhist Lent ), the party may be moved from October 7 to October 8.
