An increase within the fuel tariff (FT) has been decided and is expected to raise the electrical power bill to a record high of 4. 72 baht per kilowatt-hour between September and December, said a source at the Energy Regulating Commission.
The FT rate will rise during this period to 93. 43 satang per kWh, up 68. 66 satang per kilowatt-hour. This will take the general power bill in order to its new report high, up from 4 baht currently.
The origin said the FT hike does not need a public hearing since it is the lowest of three proposed rates investigated.
Three options have already gone through an earlier public hearing round which was determined on Monday.
