People of Marine Parade GRC, MacPherson SMC, and Mountbatten SMC will soon be able to take advantage of a new free shuttle bus services that will connect these people to features like polyclinics, stalls centers, and MRT facilities.
Touted as” Singapore’s first cluster- wide community shuttle bus service”, the initiative was jointly announced on Sunday ( Jun 30 ) by the South East Community Development Council ( CDC ) and the People’s Association ( PA ).
The pilot program for a year of shuttle bus service registration begins on Sunday, and operations will start on July 8. The service will be available from 10am to 4pm on weekends,  , excluding people holidays.
The seven options were created based on input from people from a variety of engagements, including the most recent Forward Singapore training.
Over half a million trips will be planned for this community-driven program over the one-year pilot, according to South East CDC and PA, given the high demand and potential benefits for the residents.
On the flight bus services, which is meant to “greatly increase final- hour connections”, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong said on Sunday:” The Sea Parade cluster, like the rest of Singapore, has an ageing population.
While the island’s entire connection is good, some beach people have complained that they are finding it harder to close the gap between these important features.
” We therefore planned the roads in accordance with the convenience of these people while keeping a balance between the needs of other road users in the area and the efficient use of resources.”
He even mentioned in a Facebook video that the shuttle bus services may include six prevents near Joo Chiat, noting that famous restaurant like Beach Road Prawn Noodle House, which is on East Coast Road, are located along the way.
Mr Tong has been , MP for Marine Parade GRC since 2015.  ,  ,  ,  ,
” This seamless connectivity between frequented locations in the cluster also makes local businesses more accessible” , , Minister for Manpower , Tan See Leng added.
” We have designed the seven routes to help people to easily switch between shuttle cars for pathways with overlaps,” according to the organization. This will allow them to access various divisions within the grouping.
