The Philippine Red Cross reported that two people were killed and several others were hurt on Sunday ( May 4 ) when a car crashed into the entrance to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport ( NAIA ), including a four-year-old girl.
The “vehicular injury” that the airport described earlier on Sunday was when a car crashed into a walkway near the entrance to NAIA Terminal 1 through the outer fence.
” We recognize the problem that this affair has caused, particularly given the social media images that have been posted. We urge people to avoid speculating and to wait for checked changes, which will be made available as soon as they are made,” NAIA said in a statement.
The tragedy resulted in the deaths of two people, a female child and a four-year-old child, according to the Philippine Red Cross, which responded to the field.
Some people were seen lying on the ground in pictures shared by local advertising on social media platforms. Glass was shattered across the doorway, and the front of a dark SUV was clearly damaged after hitting the aircraft windows.
The vehicle’s vehicle is being detained, according to NAIA, and those who suffered injuries are receiving treatment.
