Four earthquakes shake Chiang Rai

On Thursday night, Chiang Rai’s northwestern province experienced four small earthquakes, one of which had a 3.6 magnitude. The Earthquake Observation Division of the Thai Meteorological Department reported that there were no reports of casualties or destruction.

At 00.45 am in the Mae Lao district’s tambon Dong Mada, two kilometers beneath, the first earthquake struck, measuring 3.6 on the Richter range. In the state of Chiang Rai’s Mae Lao and Muang districts, as well as in the districts of Phan and Moe Suay, there was a tremor.

In the vicinity of tambon Chom Mok Kaew in the Mae Lao city, the next earthquake, measuring 1.9 magnitude and 3 km under, happened 38 moments after the first.

At 3.00 am in the Mae Lao district’s tambon Chom Mok Kaew region, the third earthquake, measuring 0.9 magnitude and 4 km beneath, struck.

At 3.18 am, a 1.8 scale earthquake struck the tambon Dong Mada neighborhood of the Mae Lao region. The third earthquake was 2 km under.

There was no reported injury or fatalities.
