Four Brazilian people have been detained in Nonthaburi and Chon Buri for a number of home invasions that occurred in Bangkok and adjacent counties.
According to Pol Maj Gen Panthana Nuchanart, deputy director of the Immigration Bureau, three suspects were detained by immigration officials and police on Thursday at a property in the Muang city of Nonthaburi and the third at a resort in South Pattaya in Chon Buri.
They were accused of attempting to steal. They were seized along with 125 things of stolen goods, including income, gold earrings, gold rings, and watches, as well as rented motorcycles and different tools used in home burglaries.
The Immigration Bureau and police officials from Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan jointly launched an investigation that found the presence of four international offenders, Pol Maj Gen Panthana said on Friday. The suspects visited the homes whose contents were being targeted by occupied motorcycles. Before the users arrived home, they broke into the homes, according to Pol Maj Gen Panthana.
All suspects, according to Provincial Police Region 1 director Pol Lt Gen Jirasant Kaewsaeng-ek, denied involvement in the home invasions, but the imprisoning crew had found proof that they were involved.
The defendants were identified as Fredy Alexander Velasquez Fruiz, 52, Jhon Edwin Suarez Calderon, 47, Andres Felipe Velasquez Pira, 29, and Marco Tulio Pinzon Torneros, 51.
