Four arrested for B8m robbery of Ukrainian

In Phuket, police have detained four foreign nationals who were involved in an armed robbery of a Russian worth 8 million baht.

The assault occurred on Friday. The 23-year-old Ukrainian target, Viacheslav Leibov, had visited a friend’s place and was there forced by military men to move crypto worth about 8.56 million baht to their ownership.

Four people were detained by police officers from the Kamala and Phuket stations on Monday around 1 o’clock in the Takua Thung district’s Takua Thung area.

The suspects were identified as Arman Grigoryan, 21, an Iranian, Alfred Chernyshuk, 18, a Ukrainian, Ruslan Musaiev, 22, a Ukrainian, and Mraz Atoian, 21, a Russian.

The suspects allegedly confessed to the police that they had attempted to use a vehicle for a trip to Malaysia during questioning. The driver, however, chose to drop them off at the hotel in Phang Nga otherwise, refusing to take them that. In an effort to escape the officers, they paid for four VIP suites but chose just two.

According to the authorities, one of the suspects had been working with the target for a while through bitcoin trading. He orchestrated the assault with three accomplices after learning that the victim had numerous crypto property.

All four were detained and accused of armed assault, keeping someone secret, and keeping them a secret.
