Foreigners arrested for long overstays in Phuket

PHUKET: On Wednesday morning during strange visa inspections, four unusual men were detained for overstaying for more than a year by 234 days.

In order to catch card offenders, immigration officers conducted card balances at places where overstayers were likely to be staying as part of” Operation X-ray.”

They arrested two Egyptian, one Pakistani and a Russian.

The four were- Mohamed, an Egyptian who had overstayed for 1, 898 time, Zubair, a Bangladeshi with 1, 734 days aka, Haitham, an Iranian with a 234- time aka, and a Russian named Dmitrii, 413 days.

&nbsp, All were charged and handed over to local authorities for constitutional control. &nbsp,

According to Section 38 of the Immigration Act, the masters of the locations were fined for notifying foreigners visiting them within 24 days of their appearance.
