According to the Royal Thai Army’s (RTA ) Directorate of Intelligence ( DOI), foreign military attachés recently took a tour of the 2nd Army Region headquarters in Nakhon Ratchasima.
DoI main Lt Gen Kamchai Wongsiri and chief of the 2nd Army Region, Lt Gen Boonsin Padklang, led 40 attachés from 19 states and their family members on a journey of the military base.
Governor Chaiwat Cheunkosum gave the guests a briefing on the administrative management of the province.
The attachés were likewise briefed on the RTA’s functions in maintaining regional security, domestic surveillance and prevention of common emergencies. They even took part in a Q&, A program on the RTA’s operations and tasks.
The party then traveled to Surathampitak Military Camp, where they were treated to an exhibition on Thailand’s military record and a show of the army’s defensive abilities. They also were treated to a visit to the 23rd Infantry Regiment.
Their family members were taken to the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre’s tree, which showcases directly made crafts.
Lt. Gen. Kamchai stated that the visit was intended to improve defense ties between Thailand and its allies.
The visit served as a platform to transfer know-how on national security while helping to increase the country’s military network, which led to mutual coaching sessions and aid, he said.
” The attend presented RTA with the opportunity to show its military capability, performance, and how it can contribute to the state’s surveillance”, said Lt Gen Kamchai.
