Three former football players have been invited by Thailand’s prime minister to play golf in the” Reignwood Icons of Football” tournament.
Reignwood Group CEO, Worapanit Ruayrungruang, monday took the three previous athletes to Government House to meet the top.
She encouraged the three football players to maintain their stay in Thailand and to enjoy some Thai fighting after the golfing match.
The ex-footballers are John Terry, former commander of Chelsea Football Club, with five Premier League titles, Joe Hart, a former keeper for Manchester City, and Phil Jagielka, a former keeper for Everton. They all played for the American federal team.
The three have traveled to Thailand to take part in the game that Reignwood Group and Icons Series co-hosted on March 1 and 2.
The occasion features 24 leading past players, who will be divided into teams to compete in the game. The English crew will be led by professional golfer Lee Westwood, while Sergio Garcia may lead the World team from Spain.
Ms. Paetongtarn added that the government is fully committed to supporting activities in an effort to advance the government’s soft power.
