On Saturday, a significant amount of rain fell in some regions of Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat province, killing two people.

Heavy storms that have been occurring since Thursday have flooded Surat Thani, sending a lot of water into agrarian areas, bridges, and homes in three regions: Muang, Kanchanadit, and Don Sak, that have overflowing into canals and other water resources on Saturday.

The inundation has affected 315 families living in 42 settlements in the three districts. &nbsp,

At Huai Dan Village Moo 6 in Kanchanadit, discharge poured through the area, with rainwater rising about one inch on Saturday. Moving items from five of the damaged homes to higher locations was aided by save workers.

Theeyut Supawiboonphol, the lieutenant governor of Surat Thani, instructed city authorities to assess the damage in their areas and assist residents who have been affected by floods and landslides.

Runoff did enter those towns, he said, so it was anticipated that the waters would surge even more in Kanchanadit and Don Sak.
