12, 777 individuals hit by flooding
The Interior Ministry reported on Thursday that floodwater rates were rising in Nan, which is the only province in higher Thailand where they were either firm or shrinking.
Traisuree Taisaranakul, minister to the internal minister, said that the damaged regions included Chiang Rai, Lampang, Nan, Phayao, Phetchabun and Phrae in the North, as well as Udon Thani in the Northeast.  ,
Officials were fleeing flood victims, dispensing necessary supplies, and assessing damage.
According to Ms Traisuree, 12, 777 communities in 541 settlements were affected by flooding.
As the rain stopped, Nan government Chainarong Wongyai reported that water levels were dropping in higher regions and that waters were rising at a slower rate in key regions. Nan’s ten regions were still flooded a lot.
In Muang city, the Nan River reached a level of 8.25 feet, only 25 centimetres below the state’s slope.
In order to avoid flooding from northern areas, the government urged people living close to waterways to relocate their belongings to higher ground and make plans for removal.
The Office of National Water Resources ( ONWR ) warned of possible flooding and landslides in 35 provinces across all regions until August 30 as a result of heavy rains.
The Meteorological Department advised residents in north and northeast provinces to become wary of heavy to really heavy rainfalls starting on August 21 and going up to August 27, which could cause flash floods and flow, specifically along foothills, near waterways, and in low-lying areas. During this time, all boats in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf may proceed cautiously in thundershower-prone places.
