Flood deluge worsens in Bangladesh with millions affected

In India’s hard-hit Tripura express, more than 23 people have died in the floods since Monday.

The Bangladeshi crisis management government announced in a report that its most recent toll of 15 deaths included those that occurred in cities along the nation’s southeast coast.

Among those included were Cox’s Bazar, a district where about a million Rohingya refugees from neighboring Myanmar reside, and Chittagong, the principal port city.

Areas south of the state’s capital, Dhaka, were likewise severely affected, including the Indian city of Comilla, which is close to Tripura state in India.
