Drugs discovered close to the shootout with the military-led guard in Mae Hong Child

After an exchange of gunfire with a military-led police team in a border region of Mae Fah Luang area in this northeastern province late Friday evening, around 7.5 million speed pills were abandoned by fugitive smugglers.
More than 10 people, some of them armed, were seen walking near Pasangsung community Moo 16 in tambon Therdthai on a guard from the Ha Muang task force, according to Maj Gen Kidakorn Chanthra, the work force’s captain.
The men instructed them to stop for a research, but the armed men opened fire to hide their escape. The defense police opened fire.
Five minutes later, the people fled after the gunshots stopped. No soldiers suffered any injuries.
A pickup truck was parked about three kilometers from the image of the conflict, according to military and defense volunteers who followed. There was no vehicle.
The soldiers remained in the area immediately. Afterward, they searched the area and discovered 25 more luggage inside the delivery truck and two more left along the exit route. Each bag contained 280, 000 rate tablets, or 7.56 million velocity pills in total.
The Mae Fah Luang police stop received the seized medication.
Since Oct. 1st, last year, more than 100 million rate supplements have been smuggled into Thai northern border regions, according to Maj Gen Kidakorn.
Since the 2021 military coup, militia groups have been requesting more money to support their actions, and Thai officials have noticed an increase in drug production and trafficking from Myanmar’s border regions.
According to the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, organized crime organizations have collaborated with militants and insurgent groups to establish” very labs” in Shan and Kachin state.  ,
