The northern monsoon trough will move down to the southeast of Thailand between September 13 and September 18 according to the Office of National Water Resources ( ONWR ) Facebook page. The west rainfall is strengthening at the same time, and it will also bring in more rain and heavy falls in some places.  ,
Citizens of flood-prone communities were advised to prepare for drainage and sudden flooding during this time.  ,
Areas expected to be affected by flash floods from Friday until next Wednesday are in 13 provinces in the North ( Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Tak, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Nakhon Sawan and Phetchabun ), 13 provinces in the Northeast ( Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi-Et, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani), 8 provinces in the Central Plain ( Lop Buri, Saraburi, Bangkok and its five surrounding provinces ),  , 6 provinces in the East ( Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat ), and 8 provinces in the South ( Chumphon, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani, Trang and Satun )
In northeastern Thailand, four people have died as a result of floods and landslides brought on by former tornado Yagi, according to a report released on Wednesday by the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department. In Chiang Mai territory, two people died in a flood, and in Chiang Rai, close to the Myanmar border, two more were killed.  ,
The Meteorological Department also issued a warning that more heavy weather is forecast for next Tuesday and poses the risk of flash storms.  ,
” Between Sept 13-17, please be careful of the possible harm from large to very large rainfall”, the meteorologist said.
Since the start of the season, a total of 29 people have died as a result of severe rain-related accidents, according to the regional emergency activities center.
