A material beam from a construction road bridge near Rama II Road in Bangkok’s Chom Thong district fell early on Saturday, killing at least five people and injuring 22 others.
Around 1.48am, Bang Mod police received a call about the event near to Rama II Soi 25 and the Rama III-Dao Khanong road.  ,
A practical frame being constructed, located about 200 meters from an road entrance, collided with an existing expressway structure, according to reports, causing numerous injuries and confirmed fatalities. More than 20 workers were present at the site when the decline occurred.
With the aid of sniffing dogs and special equipment, rescue groups and officers from the Bangkok Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department rushed to the scene to find and support survivors in the dust.
Five employees had been confirmed dying at 7 a.m., and at least 22 others had been hurt.
Rescue work continued as four victims were found among the wreckage, and one figure remained missing. Three Thai nationals ( one engineer and two workers ) and two foreigners were among the five fatalities.
The wounded were transported to nearby hospitals.
