Five injured in Chao Phraya boat collision

Three Thais and two immigrants were injured when an empty ship struck the Chao Phraya Express boat.

When an empty vessel hit their communicate boat on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok on Thursday, five people, including two immigrants, were hurt.

The incident, according to the Marine Department, occurred at 12.34 p.m. near the Bangkok Noi Canal when the clear Wan-Ngarm Nawa 8 traveling toward the river slammed into the correct part of the Chao Phraya Express 194.

Three Thai people and two international men were among the five people on the Chao Phraya Express 194. They suffered minor injuries and were taken to Siriraj Hospital for treatment.

The Chao Phraya Express 194’s ceiling and five ceiling beams were harmed by the impact. The cause of the motion is being looked into by the Marine Department.

The incident comes about two weeks after a long-tailed tour boat and a Royal Thai Navy boat collided near the Tha Tien pier, injuring four Chinese visitors.
