Five foreigners caught gambling in Phuket house

PHUKET: On Wednesday morning, five foreigners were detained and gambling cards worth more than 600,000 ringgit were seized during a raid on a property in Muang area.

About 1.30 am, statewide and regional authorities searched the home in tambon Ratsada based on information that foreigners frequently gambled there.

The reported administrator, Ukrainian Oleksandr Shpetnyl, was arrested along with three reported bettors– Russian men Evgenll Vylegzhanin, Rodion Elonov and Ruslan Kolontyrskll -&nbsp, and a Russian lady, &nbsp, Ekaterina Morozova, who was handling the betting chips.

Authorities seized a gambling&nbsp, stand, six decks of cards, 318 cards for about 79, 600 bass, 309 chips for about 567, 925 ringgit, a gravel timer and two computers. &nbsp,

The Russian girl and the Russian woman were accused of operating a gambling business without authorization. Gambling was brought against the three Russian people. &nbsp,

All cases were turned over to the Muang authorities place for legal actions.
