Five earthquakes shake Chiang Rai

On Thursday night, the northeastern province of Chiang Rai was struck four times by five slight earthquakes, one of which had a 3.6 scale. The Earthquake Observation Division of the Thai Meteorological Department reported that there were no reports of deaths or injury.

At 00.45 am in the Mae Lao district’s tambon Dong Mada & nbsp, two kilometers underground, the first earthquake struck, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale. In the Chiang Rai towns of Mae Lao, Muang, Phan, and Sae Suai, there was a shudder.

In the vicinity of tambon Chom Mok Kaew in the Mae Lao city, the next earthquake, measuring 1.9 magnitude and 3 km under, happened 38 moments after the first.

The third earthquake, measuring 0.9 scale and occurring 4 km beneath, occurred at 3.00 am in Mae Lao’s tambon Chom Mok Kaew.

At 3.18 am in tambon Dong Mada, Mae Lao, there was a 1.8 scale earthquake, the fifth of which was 2 km beneath.

At 7.48 a.m. in tambon Chom Mok Kaew, Mae Lao, the fifth earthquake of 2.4 scale occurred 4 km beneath.

There were no reported injuries or deaths.
