Around 70 firefighters and 19 crisis cars were dispatched to the scene. To combat the flame, two autonomous fire machines and four liquid jets were also used.
Public individuals were advised to stay away from the area. A message was sent to SGSecure mobile apps people, M1, Star Hub, and Singtel wireless subscribers in the immediate vicinity of the fireplace, urging them to stay away from the Defu Lane neighborhood.
The fire was extinguished in about two days, before SCDF started damping down activities.
This includes putting water on burned areas soon after a fire has been extinguished to make sure deep-seated embers are completely extinguished to avoid any further igniting of the fire.
This was the second night of professional fire. The second incident occurred on Tuesday at around 9 p.m. at Eunos Avenue 6, which is located about 5 km from the professional land of Defu Lane.
