
A yacht caught fire in the middle of the ocean off Na Jomtien in the Sattahip area of this eastern county on Saturday night. There were no injuries.
Around 6o’clock in the morning, the Na Jomtien crisis prevention and mitigation department received a report of the fire on the yacht that was moored at Ao Ban Amphur in tambon Na Jomtien.
The 23-seat art started a firefighting blaze, which was first put out by The Ocean Marina Yacht Club.
In an effort to contain the flames that were engulfing the sailboat, paramedics from the catastrophe prevention company and human volunteers boarded fireplace boats, skiffs, and jet skis.
The flames, which appeared to have started in the engine room, spread to the customer board and took firefighters about an hour to contain. The injury has not yet been determined.
User of the yacht, Chidchanok Naknoi, 58, claimed he was sitting in the stern of the ship when he noticed burning lines. He unapologetically observed smoke billowing out of the motor area.
He ran to get a fire extinguishers in vain, but he was unable to contain the embers. He jumped aboard a foam life ship to avoid the flames that had started to spread.
According to officials, an electric short-circuit is what is thought to have started the fire.
