In north Australia, a determined research is underway for a child who is thought to have been taken by a snake.

The 12-year-old was last seen floating near the rural town of Palumpa, which is about a 7-hour drive north east of Darwin in the Northern Territory (NT ) on Tuesday at night.

According to authorities, a professional search and rescue squad has been dispatched after “initial reviews stated the baby had been attacked by a crocodile.”

The NT is home to an estimated 100, 000 salt turtles, more than anywhere else in the earth, but problems are remarkable.

Around 17:30 local time ( 08:00 GMT ) local police began searching for the child immediately after he vanished in Mango Creek, Palumpa residents, which has only 364 residents.

More soldiers and the skilled search and rescue team are now looking for the boy’s identity on both land and water.

An underwater search may also be launched, according to local advertising.

Senior Sergeant Erica Gibson stated in a statement that” Officers are currently searching a large section of the creek via boat and we thank]the ] community for their ongoing assistance.

Local police are present, and our thoughts are with the community and the neighborhood.
