Father admits beating 9-year-old son with umbrellas and cane, leaving red marks

SINGAPORE: A man hit his nine-year-old son several times with two tents and a cane after suspecting that his son had stolen funds at his birthday party.

His wife begged him to stop and tried to protect their child, but she was also hit by the wood.

The 45-year-old man admitted guilt on Thursday ( Nov. 9 ) to one count of voluntarily harming a minor. He cannot be named to protect his son’s identity. &nbsp,

He may be sentenced based on a next charge of hurting his wife.

The man reportedly resided with his wife and son, according to the judge.

On November 30 of last year, the son and his family attended a birthday party at around 10 p.m.

The boy informed his family that he had received a S$ 50 statement from the birthday child before leaving the party.

The boy returned the money after the defendant’s woman instructed him to do so because she thought he had been lying.

The lady told her husband what had happened when they got home.

Around 11.30 p.m., the boy’s dad got home from work because he wanted to correct his boy for allegedly stealing and lying.

He grabbed an umbrella and started repeatedly hitting the boy’s knees and fingers, causing him to sob.

The boy’s mom intervened and requested that her husband stop hitting their child when she saw this.

The person shut the door after instructing his brother to leave the house. &nbsp,

Once more, the boy’s mother stepped in and unlocked the door to allow her son back inside.

Yet, when the boy came back, his father repeatedly struck him in the arms and hips with a larger umbrella.

Mother of the boy attempted to stop the beat, but the person persisted. He continued to strike his brother’s system, including his hands and hips, with a cane.

The boy’s mother persisted in pleading with her father to quit, but when she tried to protect her son, the man even struck her with the wood.

The man gradually stopped hitting his wife and son and walked away.

Just before evening, a member of the public called the police. The visitor claimed that they could hear a man berating and spanking his child while the child sobbed and the wife screamed.

The son and his family were taken to the hospital when the police showed up, and the criminal was apprehended when he got home.

When the boy was examined in a hospital, it was discovered that he had dark straight marks all over his body, including nine in the areas of his palms, forearm, and calf.

Additionally, his shoulder had numerous red marks and bruises. The pounding with the three things had resulted in the injuries.

The prosecutors demanded that the criminal serve between six and eight weeks in prison, citing the use of two umbrellas and a cane as well as the force employed.

According to the prosecutor, the sufferer was not only the boy’s own kid but also a nine-year-old child.

In January, the man may go back to court to receive his sentence. &nbsp,
