The family of three just disclosed to Xiaohongshu that they had a discussion about how children in Singapore learn Chinese at a Mother Tongue forum in September.
Zed was n’t just there to visit his parents, he shared his thoughts too.
He appeared to be engaging with the number in a confident manner in the movie.
Let’s just say we are quite impressed with Zed’s command of the language.
He was given a few lines of Taiwanese literature to study, and he did so well.
When he was his age, this author probably could n’t read the entire passage’s text.
Writing in Chinese, however, does n’t come so easy, acknowledged Zed, and he dislikes Chinese dictation because it’s “very difficult”.
Also, that makes all of us.
A week before the test, Fann mentioned that she will assist Zed in getting ready for his Taiwanese reading.
He will practice writing the words until he is certain when she will test him a few days later and if he still is n’t sure how to write them.
Zed’s routine education in Chinese is also emphasized by the family.
Zed even shared details of his mother and son’s excursion to China’s Great Wall in July this year during the occasion.
The rocky 45-degree upward slope made it difficult for Zed and they eventually gave up after just 5 meters.
China’s Great Wall is too large, it seems. I threw up”, said Zed, drawing laugh from the crowd.
Despite this, he is determined to go back to China and visit different areas of the city.
Fann gushed about her practice attending the forum and how happy she is of Zed in a distinct Instagram post.
It was really heartfelt to watch my brother speak Mandarin with more self-assurance. Every studying experience is enjoyable and satisfying when we learn our mother tongue up,” she said.
