Explosions precede Thaksin’s visit to Thailand’s deep South, 1 dead

Just before the previous prime minister’s attend on Sunday morning, bombs detonated in southern border provinces.

When a bomb detonated in front of a mall in Bannang Sata area on Saturday night, killing one civil and injuring seven police officers, in Yala province.

Seven local authorities soldiers were patrolling the area on Highway 10 in front of a Mini BigC in the town of Moo&nbsp, 2 in tambon Bannang Sata at around 8.20pm.

According to Pol Maj Worawit Na Nakhon, an analytical investigator of Bannang Sata police place, the fire claimed the lives of Tuan Ibrawheng Nimi and injured four other citizens.

As bomb removal authorities and criminal officers began to gather information, the area was cordoned off.

The violent was reportedly placed inside a fire extinguisher along with metal shrapnel, according to weapon experts. Its impact even damaged several vehicles.

Just before Thaksin Shinawatra’s group landed in Narathiwat state on Sunday morning, a bomb detonated on a paramedics ‘ pickup truck parked close to the air traffic control tower at Narathiwat aircraft in Muang area.

The explosion at 8.50am – about an hour before Thaksin’s appearance – injured four airport surveillance soldiers. Prior to the landing, aircraft authorities removed all suspicious cars.

Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong and Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai are also present in Narathiwat. His second extensive South-related trip in a decade was in April. Thaksin claimed to have been welcomed warmly.

Aside from Narathiwat, Thaksin was likewise scheduled to visit opposite Pattani and Yala regions.
