A Koh Lan-bound boat pilot has saved an exhausted, dressed Russian man from the water about six kilometers off Pattaya.

Pracharat Satsuk, 34, said he was taking on 20 foreign tourists to Koh Lan on Sunday night.

He saw the Belarusian floating between the Bali Hai Pier and Koh Lan, looking exhausted and dressed in the water. He brought him a blanket and drinking water, and he pulled him aboard the boat.

” The gentleman was exhausted. His system had wounds, probably caused while he was in the waters … Happily the current was not strong. He wasn’t washed too far out. If he had been terrible, he might have been hit by boat shafts”, Mr Pracharat said.

The Russian pilot said the pilot told him that the Russian male had left Pattaya on Saturday night and was heading for Koh Lan, but he was unable to make it.
