According to police, the former Danish embassy who was discovered dead in a Bangkok home’s restroom had been mortally stabbed.
After a meeting with police investigating the case at Suthisan authorities station, Metropolitan Police deputy director Pol Maj Gen Noppasilp Poonsawat revealed that the body that was discovered on Sunday night had been stabbed three times in the chest.
Vichit Chitvimarn’s body was discovered on the next floor of a three-story home in the Chatuchak neighborhood of Bangkok. He was 63 years old.
Three attack wounds, according to Pol Maj Gen Noppasilp, were discovered in the past diplomat’s neck. In the kitchen on the first ground, criminal police examined a wooden box containing five kitchen knives and discovered blood stains on two of them.
He claimed that after the house’s first and second floors were discovered to have been looted, it was assumed that house robbery was likely the cause of the death.

Two boys, ages 14 and 17, may be called by the police for questioning on the grounds that they might be connected to the death.
